This Week At Penance (8/7-8/12)

It’s going to be a great week at Penance Gym: it’s a Double Durability week and we have 2 different days where the workout focus is on our Mobility & Core strength.

Monday

Starting the week off with a Durability Day focused on Mobility and Core strength (2 areas that are often neglected for the average gym-goer, and the 2 areas that contribute the most to pain elimination). We will be purposely slowing things down during this workout with intentional pauses and cadences.

Tuesday

We start to pick up steam on Tuesday with an Armor workout and Strength session focused on our Pressing capacity and Lower Back health.

Wednesday

By mid-week we are pushing pace and weight with an Armor workout and Strength session focused on our Squatting strength/endurance and Upper body Pulling musculature.

Our local provider of Rehab Chiropractic Care (Dr. Logan Shemwell) will also be taking appointments on Wednesday – if you’re in need to help, we can point you in the right direction to him.

Thursday

On Thursday we take on our 2nd Durability Day for this week – this time with an emphasis on our Posterior Chain and Pressing musculature.

Friday

We begin to close out the week with an Armor workout and Strength session focused on our Knee strength/health and upper body Pulling strength.

Saturday

For our weekend crew we’ll have our only Power workout for the week – following a strength session of the same focus – Core strength/endurance. There’s even a possibility that this will involve a Partner workout…
