Skinny Does Not Mean Healthy

Health & Strength… we knew long ago that these 2 terms belong together but somewhere along the way we were sold the idea that skinny = healthy.

Why we were sold this notion could be debated, I have my theories (but that is a much longer conversation)

This shift opened the door and created demand for diet drugs, extreme & starvation dieting, eating disorders, mind-numbing cardio punishment, etc.

All the while we as a population move further from health and into the cold grasp of obesity & chronic illness.

Many among us see no interest in pursuing skinny (or think that “goal” is too far away and would be a fruitless endeavor) so they file working out as “not my thing”

But what if…

What if, instead of chasing an impossible image, we focused on building strength and reclaiming our functional abilities, step by step?

Regaining our ability to run, jump, push, pull, and live as human beings.

Reaffirming a love for life along the way.

For most, skinny is a sad goal, and a goal that is absolutely unattainable.

No matter where you’re starting from, rebuilding yourself—regaining your ability to move and live fully—is not only achievable but a journey worth taking.
