As we step into a new year, it’s the perfect time to reflect and make adjustments to ensure we’re staying true to our mission of helping you build strength and capacity for life—not just for the gym. At Penance Gym, our focus has always been on creating sustainable structure and encouraging consistency in both fitness and nutrition. These principles are what drive real, lasting progress.
For 2025, we’re introducing a key adjustment to our programming that we believe will enhance your experience and results: two-week workout repeats, followed by new programming for the next two weeks.
Why the Change?
This change is all about measurable progress. By repeating the same workouts and strength portions for two weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to track your performance, compare your efforts, and aim to do just a little more each time. Whether it’s lifting slightly heavier, completing more reps, or improving your technique, these small, incremental improvements are what build undeniable results over time.
Using a two-week repeat structure provides the stability needed to focus on growth while keeping things fresh by introducing new workouts after the second week. This balance between consistency and variety can be critical for long-term success.
Don’t Forget to Log Your Results
To get the most out of this structure, it’s essential to track your progress. That’s where the Chalk It Pro app comes in. By logging your workouts, you’ll have a clear record of your performance, making it easier to identify progress and set goals for the next session. Tracking your results also keeps you accountable and motivated as you see tangible evidence of your hard work paying off.
The Power of Consistency
At Penance Gym, we know that progress doesn’t come from chasing novelty—it comes from showing up, putting in the effort, and sticking to a plan. Combined with a sustainable approach to nutrition, our programming is designed to help you make progress that you can see and feel, both in the gym and in your daily life.
We’re excited about this small but powerful change in our programming and look forward to seeing how our members rise to the challenge. As always, our coaching team is here to guide you, cheer you on, and adjust as needed to ensure that you’re progressing safely and effectively.
