Treating a Tight and Achy Back

More often than not, back pain is described (by those suffering from it) as stiff, tight, and achy. Although uncomfortable, this is usually not much more than the muscles and tendons of the lower back soreness or in a spasm in an effort to “protect” the spine. [Sciatic is a different issue, I can cover another day]

The root of these causes can be traced to weakness in the lower back and hips. The short term treatment for this is movement, the long term fix is to strengthen the muscles and tendons or the lower back and hips.
