Sunday Routine – Meal Prep Chicken

Failure to prepare is preparing to fail.

Although we definitely have our weeks that don’t allow it, we have a fairly regular routine in our household on Sundays.

1 of the things that we try to take care of every Sunday is preparing at least the meat portion of our lunches for the week.

1 sleeve of chicken breasts (about 4 pounds)

1/2 cup of water

1/4 cup of avocoda oil

Tbsp or so of balsamic vinegar

2 Tbsp of Montreal Steak seasoning (can be done with many different seasonings though)

Cut the chicken into smaller pieces (optional but it does help it cook a bit faster) and place in a ziploc bag. Mix water, oil vinegar, and seasoning then add to the bag – you can let the chicken marinate in the bag if wanted. Pour the now seasoned chicken in a casserole dish.

Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes – turning chicken over in the dish midway through baking.

There you have it, a high quality protein source ready to grab & go.
