– Career: Middle School Teacher

– What are three highlights from your life? My wedding day.  Becoming a mother for the first time (twins) … almost 23 years ago.  The birth of my daughter a couple years later.

– What are your most and least favorite Fitness movements? Favorite movements are push press and kipping pull ups (maybe I will be able to do the real ones later).  Least favorite movements are dead lifts (I’m protective of my back), double kettlebell lunges and box jumps.

– How has Fitness affected your life outside of the gym? I think the biggest way Fitness has affected my life is that I feel good about what my body is capable of.  I will be 50 in March and have never felt better!  I have always been an exerciser, BUT have always gone through short periods of “falling off the wagon”.  January 5th will be THREE years of doing Fitness and I have NEVER gone more than a week of not doing it!  It has changed my life and the way I see exercise.  I have built wonderful friendships doing Fitness and have learned that, FOR ME, I need support and the encouragement of others to stick to something like this.

– What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? It’s not weird … but I love raw oysters (when I am near the ocean, of course) and sushi.  I don’t eat gross things, so I really can’t do this question justice.

– What is your favorite movie? I really can’t just pick one, so the one I have seen the MOST is Grease.  (Of course, that was a long time ago, lol.)

– What three things would you take with to a deserted island? I would bring matches, a knife and something to purify my water for drinking.

– What one thing do you want to be remembered for? I want to be remembered for always being kind, encouraging, and loving to others
