Ignite Fitness Class

Since we are now only 2 weeks out from the beginning of our 1st Ignite Fitness Class, I thought it would be a good idea to give you an inside look at what 1 of these classes may look like.

Now before we begin, I should mention that we are all Functional Fitness Coaches which means we will be using movements that we know will help improve our participants’ quality of life. This means no Bicep Curls or Leg Extension, instead you will see Body Rows and Squats.

Not these Squats (we save these for our Fitness classes.

But rather these Squats:

Using the rings as a support, you can regain the ability to squat without knee, hip, or back pain.
Using the rings as a support, you can regain the ability to squat without knee, hip, or back pain.
Using the weight plate to load the squat helps to build your core and postural muscles (not to mention your legs and butt)

Our focus will be on learning these primal (natural) movements, before we ever think about adding any kind of weight to the mix.

As the days and weeks progress, you will feel more energized (and have less joint pain) during your daily activities.

 

So without further ado, here is a sample of an Ignite Class workout:

 

3 Rounds for Reps-

30 seconds Air Squats

30 seconds Rest.

30 seconds Abmat Sit Ups

30 seconds Rest.

30 seconds Push Ups

30 seconds Rest.

 

If these numbers or movements look scary to you, rest assured that you are not the only one. We have new members all the time that look at this and say that it is impossible. But you should know a few things:

  1. Every exercise can be modified. (example- Push ups can be made less challenging by elevating your hands on a box!)

  2. No one is saying how many reps you have to complete in the 30 seconds, work at your own pace.

  3. If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you!
