Get Outside and Enjoy Your Fitness

At Penance Gym our purpose or goal is to guide our clients, members, and athletes to make improvements that are evident and beneficial outside the walls of the gym.

And this looks different for different members. For some this is:

Eliminating the back pain of a 35 year old busy dad by strengthening key muscles that have weakened over the years, allowing him to wrestle and rough house with his kids without worry.

Improving the strength and health of the shoulders of a young baseball player, allowing them to play at a higher level longer while reducing the risk of devastating injury.

Improving heart health so a 60 year old grandmother can continue to enjoy outdoor sports with her grandchildren.

That being said, get out today and enjoy your health & fitness (ability to move).

Embrace and enjoy what your body was designed for and is capable of – which is much more than the vast majority of us think.

Get out in the yard and play frisbee with your kids (or fur-babies).

Walk with your neighbors around the neighborhood.

Plant and work in a garden.

Pick up a new sport or hobby, or bring 1 back that you haven’t done in a while.

Go for a run.

Take a yoga class – or get in some focused stretching at your house.

We tend to remove things from our lives when we think they’ll be a struggle, but you can only do that for so long before you are only left with binge watching TV shows.
